Yay! Saturday and I was able to make a trip to the LYS! But, it’s also payday. While payday is usually a glorious event, this payday kind of sucks. Extra expenses showed up, and I ended up with only $54 left over in the checking account after bills. That means I really couldn’t spend anything on yarn this week. I did have a birthday check from my mom and a refund check from Chadwick’s for a sweater I ordered and they didn’t have. Well, that’s $42. And that has to last me 2 weeks. Okay, I’ll scrimp and save and not spend anything during the next 2 weeks, and I can spend $27 at the yarn store. All that got me was 2 more skeins for my dad’s sweater
and one skein of yarn for my daughter’s LSU scarf:
Daddy’s sweater is coming along nicely. I’ve finally made it to the armhole decreases which means I’m almost finished with the back. The LSU scarf is a little more iffy. Since it is 2 colors, and since I only picked up a skein of purple, I will probably run out of yellow while I’m doing the next yellow stripe. And because of the cash crunch right now, I probably won’t be able to buy anymore next Saturday.
Oh, I finally got my invite for Ravelry. I haven’t gone on there yet to check it out, but I’ve been hearing such wonderful things about it, I can’t wait!
